A crisp and cool sheet is easy to judge...when you first hop into bed for the night and the sheets are literally cold. These are not that. When I hop into bed with this set, there is no cold feeling. To me these are very warm sheets that don't breath well. On several occasions I would wake up sweating in dry, 70 deg bedroom. I would also wake up with warm pockets having to kick up the sheets to release heat.
